The  horrific events of October 7 caught Anat thousands of miles from home, on a  road trip through the US. Her art explores the tension between the desire to  escape and maintain distance and the inevitable pull of her roots.Her  homesickness, constant worry and the alienating feeling of being far from  home are interspersed with moments of quiet and hope. The images in her work  resemble a torn postcard, fragments of memories and emotions offering an  outside perspective on events that, despite the distance, felt close and  deeply personal. Each image is both an open wound and part of a search for  healing and hope.
