Eytan’s  mission took him to a place dedicated to scientific and intellectual  pursuits, a laboratory designed to answer fundamental questions. The idea of  human presence beyond Earth is fascinating to many, sparking existential  questions, sublime ideas, and emotions that transcend the boundaries of time  and space. In his work, Cohen creates conceptual illustrations inspired by  text — intuitive visual responses to the written word. During the pre-flight  preparations, throughout the mission itself and on the return journey,  astronaut Eytan Stibbe corresponded with Cohen in a question-and-answer  format. The artist then illustrated his replies, inspired by Stibbe’s  messages. This exchange of letters and drawings became a visual record of  Stibbe’s voyage from Earth to space and back.
