Rom  and Nasra, graduates of the Sapir College video program, were born and raised  in Rahat, where they still reside. For the Rakia art project, Rom, Nasra and  other members of the Bedouin Women Artists’ Collective created a short video  where they talk about the gravity of Bedouin society. They felt it was  important to collaborate with Rakia to remind astronauts about life on Earth  while they floated weightlessly in space. During our event, Rom and Nasra  talked about their lives and the making of their video. The video was  screened after the talk.
