This experiment sought to study how  microgravity affects gut microbiota and how antibiotics impact microbiota in  microgravity. Analyzing the changes in these bacteria may lead to a better  understanding of their function when antibiotics are administered in space,  with the goal of improving microbiota transplants on Earth and in space.
